Singapore Airlines has its main base at Airline House, and its head hub can be seen at Singapore Changi Airport. It flies or serve for Southeast Asia, East Asia, South Asia, and the “Kangaroo ” routes. An innovator in the aviation industry, it was the launch customer of the “superjumbo” Airbus A380. Its subsidiary is SilkAir, a regional airline.

Currently, Singapore Airlines is serving to 65 destinations in 35 countries on five continents. Besides its destinations in Southeast Asia, East Asia and South Asia, trans-Pacific flights are also operated by the airline, which includes two of the world’s longest non-stop commercial flights to Newark, New Jersey and Los Angeles, California, respectively. In the present time, the airline operates wide-bodies fleet.

Check-in
Check-in at the airport; desks open three hours before take-off and close 45 minutes before departure. Internet check-in is available 48 hours to two hours prior to flight take-off.

How much luggage I could carry…?
Carry-on: Economy-Class passengers can bring one item (25cm x 45cm x 56cm) up to 7kg plus one additional personal item. Business and First-Class flyers are allowed two pieces (25cm x 45cm x 56cm) up to 7kg plus an additional personal item.

Checked: 20kg for Economy flyers, 30kg for Business-Class passengers and 40kg for First-Class travellers. The infant baggage allowance is 10kg plus a collapsible buggy, carry-cot and infant items. KrisFlyer Elite Gold and Star Alliance Gold members are allowed an extra 20kg to all destinations except Canada and the US. PPS Club members are entitled to 100 per cent more free baggage allowance. For travel to Canada and the US a piece concept is used. All classes of traveller are allowed two pieces of luggage, the weight of each piece must be no heavier than 23kg.

Excess: Singapore Airlines levies excess charges by zonal pricing. For example, on a flight from the UK (Band 4) to Hong Kong (Band 2) the excess rates are $55 (US) per kilogramme.

Pre-assigned Seating
Yes, during the booking process,depends on the ticket. In general, the lower the fare, the more restrictions there will be and you may not be able to change your itinerary. There will be charges for any changes. Make changes online or by calling your local Singapore Airlines office.

Child Fares
Child fares are available for children aged between two and 11 years.

Singapore Airlines offers World Gourmet Cuisine. Even in Economy Class there is a choice of two main courses – international or Asian. Business-Class flyers can enjoy Restaurant-class Service featuring satay. First Class and Suites feaures flexi-dining and a custom-designed menu. A full in-flight entertainment system includes movies, television, music, games, iPod and iPhone Connectivity and office productivity software.
