International Airports in the US
New York City (NYC)
New York is home to many famous attractions such as the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, Times Square, Central Park and the Brooklyn Bridge. It is also the most populated city in the USA, and home to more than eight million people. There are three airports located in New York – John F. Kennedy Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport and La Guardia Airport.
John F. Kennedy International (JFK)
New York’s largest airport, John F. Kennedy Airport is situated on Jamaica Bay in Queens. JFK Airport is conveniently located 25 kilometres from New York City, approximately an hour drive.
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) is located in Essex and Union Counties, New Jersey, and between the New Jersey Turnpike (accessible from Exits 13A and 14), U.S. Routes 1 & 9 and I-78. EWR is about 16 miles from midtown Manhattan. It is viewed by many as the most traveler-friendly airport in the New York metropolitan area. EWR airport is served by all of the major U.S. and numerous international airlines, offering non-stop and connecting flights around the country and the world.. . LaGuardia International Airport (LGA)
Located on the waterfront in the Borough of Queens, New York City and only 9 miles from Midtown Manhattan. LaGuardia Airport (LGA) is the smallest among the three airports in New York. The airport mainly handles domestic flights but some international flights do use this airport. It is located in the borough of Queens, New York, bordering both Bowery Bay and Flushing Bay.
