International Airports in London
London, the capital of the United Kingdom, is one of the most wondrous cities in Europe, and indeed the whole world. It is a city which offers ample outlets for fun, entertainment and sightseeing. Heathrow Airport (LHR)
Heathrow Airport is located 24 km from London’s center. Some 90 airlines operate from Heathrow Airport to over 180 locations around the world, carrying nearly 68 million passengers and 1.3 million tonnes of cargo each year. Heathrow has five terminals, two main runways, and a cross wind runway.
Gatwick Airport (LGW)
London’s Gatwick airport is the busiest single runway airport in the world, and the second largest in the UK after Heathrow. It serves around 90 airlines flying to more than 220 destinations. Gatwick Airport is located 45 km south of London. |
