Emirates, the flagship carrier of the United Arab Emirates has its base in Dubai, and is connected to an extensive network of international routes. Emirates serves 101 destinations, in 60 countries around the world. The airline carries passengers to Asian destinations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Singapore; European destinations like France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Russia, UK, Switzerland, Turkey and Malta; and global locations like the USA, Canada, Brazil, Australia and New Zealand.
Online check-in of Emirates opens 24 hours before the scheduled flight departure and closes two hours before take-off. Check-in desks at the airport close 90 minutes before departure for those with check-in baggage and 60 minutes before departure for passengers travelling with cabin baggage only.
How much luggage can I carry?
Emirates allows two bags with maximum linear dimensions of 158cm (length + width + height) each and maximum weight of 32kg. (for USA and Canada the maximum weight is 23kg). They also allow you to carry a hand bag not exceeding 7kg having dimensions of 55 x 38 x 20cm.
Facility to choose your seat
Emirates provides you the facility of selecting your own seat by using the online seat map tool available on the Emirates website. Seats are available on a first come, first served basis at check-in, either online or at the airport desk.
Get a huge discount on child fares
Lap infants fly at a discounted rate. Child fares on some flights are about 80 per cent. The minimum age for unaccompanied children is five.
